Port Moresby, National Capital District 14th 2025- The National Capital District Provincial Health Authority has launched its Internal Audit Committee to oversee its financial management. The Audit Committee is established to improve internal control systems and processes in order to enhance effective systems and processes.

The Deputy Secretary for Strategic and Governance Mr. Domanic Ira said that the establishment of the Internal Audit Committee in NCD Provincial Health Authority indicates that boards and management of NCD PHA are upholding accountability. Mr. Ira further emphasized that with the establishment of the Audit Committee, NCDPHA will surely achieve greater heights. “The management of NCDPHA will instill confidence to the Government agencies and the Stakeholders and Partners to work with the organization through the influence of the Internal Audit Committee,” said Mr. Ira.

The Chief Executive Officer Dr. Robin Oge said that Boards and Management of NCD Provincial Health Authority is encouraging Good Governance and Transparency within the Organization. “The office of Chief Executive Officer and the Management team of NCD PHA will work in collaboration with the Internal Audit Committee to ensure public resources are properly managed,” said Dr. Oge. The management of NCD PHA practices good governance and proper management of public funds with the focus to provide effective health service delivery in the National Capital District.
