Port Moresby, National Capital District 13th of August 2025- The Adventist Community Services (ACS) under the Seventh Day Adventist Ministry are donating medical equipment and some essential needs to the clinics in Moresby Northeast district as a show of appreciation to the clinics. The donation was intended to help support the health workers and the clinics to deliver basic health services in the National Capital District.
The donation drive carried out by ACS members is part of the Adventist Church Annual Community Service in Port Moresby.
The Adventist Church District Director Ps. Ishmael Taine said that the Adventist Community Services of East District under Northeast District are donating to the Clinics as part of the planned annual activity. “We choose to donate to the clinics as part of our appreciation to the health services that we receive in clinics in NCD,” said Ps. Taine.
The Six Mile Poly Clinic Manageress HEO Netlyn Amu has acknowledged the ACS members for their untimely donation to the clinic. “It is truly a blessing to receive the much-needed medical equipment from the Seventh Day Adventist Church,” said HEO Amu.
The items donated to the clinics are:
· 4 Statoscopes
· Thermometer -10 Digital & 10 Mercury
· 2 Washing machine
· Food and Essential needs
The clinic Manageress of Gordons Urban Clinic Sr. Nelly Lagame sincerely acknowledges the ACS Women for their heart to continue supporting the health services in the district.
The Chief Executive Manager for NCD Provincial Health Authority Dr. Robin Oge has acknowledged the Seventh Day Adventist Church for their donation through the Adventist Community Services on behalf of the Management of NCD PHA. “This untimely donation will contribute towards the services that the clinic is providing to the people of NCD,” said Dr. Oge.
